Business Smarts is a monthly breakfast seminar held on the second Friday of each month, from 7:30AM to 9:00AM at American National University, 1515 Country Club Road in Harrisonburg. Providing you with business advice from the best minds in the business, the series is a great opportunity to network over coffee. Business topics range from marketing and technology to finances. The Business Smarts program is brought to you by the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).
The Non-Profit Institute (NPI) offers a professional development non-credit certificate program for leaders and managers in non-profit organizations throughout the Shenandoah Valley. The Institute offers practical skills for effective leadership in your organization and includes 40+ hours of professional development instruction. Participants must complete at least 20 sessions, not including the Opening Session and Graduation, to receive the certificate in Nonprofit Management.
The University of California Berkeley, Haas School of Business powers Philanthropy University. Philanthropy University is “a first-of-its kind, nonprofit educational initiative” that offers tuition-free courses.
